Version
A version (Latin versare — to modify, versio — turn, modification; English option, version) is one of the interpretations of a phenomenon or event, interpretation; a variant of something. For example, the latest version of a computer program.
It is used as a method of operational journalism that attracts the attention of readers. For example, under the heading "Our version". When they say that a new, original version of a computer program has been put forward, they mean one of the variants of the program that improves on the previous one and often gets its own unique serial number. A new version of a journalistic publication is called a version of it that differs in content from the previous ones and includes new components. A version of a commercial product is called a variant that differs from others in its configuration, capabilities, quality, etc. This is how you can hear the advertising phrase: "Today our company offers a basic version of the Volga GAZ 31-29 car." A computer or electronic version of a book or image is called the digital format of this object, which is distributed via the Internet or on various information media. A foreign-language version of a text is called its translation into another language. In professional sports, an athlete can receive titles according to an association. This means that different associations can award the same titles (for example, world champion). The investigative version is one of the assumptions regarding the origin, nature and interrelationships of the facts established in the criminal case.
